Bike Rides for Charity
July 22, 2010 – 2:24 pmOn Sunday July 11th, Dr. Wynens, and a thousand or more other bike riders, took part in the second annual Hospitality Highway Bike Ride benefitting the Georgia Transplant Foundation. The Hospitality Highway bike ride is a unique ride for Atlanta cyclists because part of the ride takes place on the GA 400 freeway. At 6:30 am a section of GA 400 is shut down to cars and opens to thousands of cyclists. This years event was well attended and helped raise money to support an excellent foundation. Last Fall Dr. Wynens also participated in a ride to benefit Shriner’s Hospitals, and she is scheduled to ride in October to support local food banks in rural Tennessee.
